Overview
We are seeking discerning individuals plugged into internet technologies at the intersection of crisis,
geopolitical and user harm issues. You will be working on the leading edge of fast-developing concerns and
will use unstructured persona-based adversarial testing techniques to identify ‘unknown unknowns’ and
new/unexpected patterns on premier generative AI products.
This is a vendor role with Highspring for a client’s team, a Fortune 100 company. This position is hybrid at
our North Austin location.
Candidates can expect a fast-paced, high-energy environment working on a team that delivers high-impact
analysis and engagement with generative AI products. Successful candidates will be able to assume
(sometimes uncomfortable) personas, engage with LLMs in creative ways, and have a broad knowledge of
current political and cultural topics.
Responsibilities
• Investigate, analyze and report on identified trends
• Document all data and research procedures
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Evaluate, analyze and conceptualize strategic risks and threats to trust
• Identify emerging trends and forecast new forms of abuse
• Translate how global developments could cause potential adverse impact on Client’s users
• Assimilate feedback and apply learnings in a dynamic environment
• Work cross-functionally with peers, leads, and stakeholders
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Minimum Qualifications
• B.A./B.S degree in Political Science, Journalism, Cybersecurity, International Relations, Philosophy,
Linguistics, Psychology and related fields or equivalent experience
• Experience working on counter abuse strategies for online platforms
• Experience working with LLMs (Large Language Models)
• Strong understanding and work-experience of international and geopolitical events and how they impact
global businesses and/or relevant work experience in a research based role
• Proficient with Word/Excel/Powerpoint or Google Workspace (Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Slides)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a proven ability to work
successfully with cross-functional teams with senior stakeholder and executive visibility
• Calm under pressure, with an ability to function well in urgent, developing situations
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask
• High degree of initiative and deadline-driven productivity
• Strong interest in internet, culture, news, media and current events
• Native or professional fluency in French
Preferred Qualifications
• Product policy analysis and risk identification
• Creative writing, improv, joke-telling, storytelling
• Semantics and pragmatics
• Experience with adversarial testing of online consumer products
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to deliver findings of analysis
• Familiarity with internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments
• Knowledge of Google products and services
• Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities
Schedule Requirements
• You may be asked to work outside of your core hours due to business necessity
• 9AM-5PM, Wednesday-Sunday (Monday-Tuesday are days off). Wednesday is mandatory in-office, other
days are WFH
